Cheap Flights to Rio de Janeiro

Travelling makes a big impact on the lives of most people as it gives them the chance to explore, discover and get a feeling for a culture different from what they are used to on a day-to-day basis. It is also a great way to leave worries behind and have some fun with the variety of interesting cultures the destinations have to offer. It is no wonder that almost every part of the world is becoming a destination for tourists as each region has something special and unique to offer.

Rio de Janeiro is one of the places that visitors like to visit throughout the year. The city has amazing golden beaches, natural forests and modern skyscrapers, offering visitors a great diversity of activities in which to engage while visiting here. Those who love peace and quiet as well as simplicity will find it here in the hillsides that can only be described as lush and natural.

Just as in any other city, life here is a mix of poverty and wealth, with every background having something to offer visitors which is bound to stir enthusiasm and passion. One of the most attractive places here is the Cidade Maravihosa, or simply “The Marvelous City”, full of all kinds of activities for tourists. Besides the natural beaches, many carnivals and samba dancing, as well as football games, are commonly seen here, giving visitors a taste of everything they could wish for in their trips.

The main landmark in Rio is the Christ the Redeemer statue found at the Peak of Corcovado Mountain. The statue is known all over the world and is actually what lets people know that they are indeed in Rio. The Sugar Loaf is also a major attraction here, especially because of the cable cars. Great music and tasty food can be found in the many restaurants in the city, with most of them offering delicious cuisines from around the region.

Apart from the statue of Christ, the other attractions worth visiting include Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, a huge lake, Buzios, Petropolis, home of the imperial family, and Paraty where visitors can catch up on some history of the city and the country. The Tijuca National Park is another place worth checking out as well as the Maracana Museum. Helicopter, boat, walking and jeep tours can also be enjoyed while in Rio.

With the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2014, the city is bound to have a great influx of sports fans and is already attracting a great number of tourists.
