DAY BY DAY ITINERARY
Day 1. Arrive Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi you will be met and assisted by Goway's local representative and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of your day is at leisure.

Day 2. Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve. After breakfast, drive north to Samburu on the south bank of the Uaso Nyiro River, downriver from Archer's Post. North of the Equator some of the animals and vegetation are a little different from those commonly found south such as the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, the long neck gerenuk, beisa, and hunting dog. In the afternoon enjoy a game drive.BLD.
Samburu Serena (2 nights)
Day 3. Samburu National Reserve. Morning and afternoon game drives explore the riverine forest areas and rugged plains. Our naturalist driver/guide will also introduce you to Samburu's spectacular birdlife.BLD
Day 4. Samburu to Mount Kenya National Park – Tree Hotel. Depart for Mount Kenya National Park where a spectacular “Tree Lodge” built on the edge of a forest glade awaits you. Here you will be treated to 24-hr game viewing as wildlife visits the waterhole and saltlick by the lodge throughout the day. BLD.

Day 5. Mount Kenya National Park to Lake Nakuru. Departing early we travel through Kenya's varied landscapes of the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located. After lunch explore the Acacia forests and the lakebed for buffalo, lion, leopard, waterbuck and huge flocks of flamingo and other birds. Nakuru's successful white rhino conservation program also ensures that visitors are treated to regular rhino sightings. This is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the endangered Rothschild giraffe in the wild. BLD

Day 6. Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara. After breakfast, there is a chance to savour the beauty and tranquility of the lake with its varied birdlife before driving across the lunar landscape of the Rift Valley to arrive at the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Kenya's most famous game reserve – the Masai Mara is home to the Masai tribe, large prides of lion and the annual wildebeest migration (between July and October). Year round the reserve has a large variety of wildlife. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive which will last until sunset. BLD

Day 7. Masai Mara National Game Reserve. An early morning optional balloon ride with champagne-style breakfast is recommended for a different perspective of the Mara and its wildlife. Morning and afternoon game drives in the reserve. BLD
Day 8. Depart Nairobi. After breakfast we drive back to Nairobi arriving mid afternoon. Depending on your flight arrangements, we can reserve an optional dayroom at Serena hotel for your convenience as well as dinner at the Carnivore restaurant (additional cost) before your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
